Cañón Rojo is twelve miles north of Abiquiú on County Road 37. The road is paved all the way to the parking lot. If you're coming from Santa Fe, plan on about 90 minutes. From Albuquerque, 2 hours 15 minutes.
In winter we sometimes close early if the weather turns. Call ahead if there's snow in the forecast.
